MILESTONES IN BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
  • 18 June 2002: Vietcombank Securities officially commenced its operation.

  • Sept 2002: was the first securities company to operate online quote tabulate.

  • Dec 2002: After 6 months since its operation commencement, VCBS underwrote VND5,000 billion of government bond. VCBS made profit in its first financial year.

  • Mar 2003: Successfully put into operation the system of online securities trading (using Cyber Investor) – the transaction method adopted in Vietnam for the first time.

  • Sept 2003: VCBS finished upgrading for the 3rd time its website, which offers services of automatic graphs of stock price development, VCBS updated stock analysis, trading quotes, orders matching and account checking. These utilities are highly appreciated by our clients for the quality and usefulness.

  • Oct 2003: VCBS successfully underwrote stocks of Hochiminh City Export–Import and Investment Joint-Stock Company (Imexco). This was the first mission of corporate stock underwriting carried out by a securities company.

  • Nov 2004: Completed infrastructure construction, transmission lines installation and personnel training for the connection to Hanoi Stock Trading Center (HASTC) and the adoption of the first online bidding system in Vietnam.

  • Dec 2004: Successfully underwrote VND300 billion of stock of the Vietnam Export-Import Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (Eximbank), the largest value of stock underwriten ever, representing the development of VCBS. After 2 years of operation, over 3,000 VCBS client accounts had been opened. VCBS is the credible partner of many major international financial institutions such as Citibank, AIA, Prudential, Deutschebank, Ernst & Young, Eximbank,... ect.

  • 16 Mar 2005: Awarded Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Finance for successfully organizing the bidding of stocks of the Post Office Equipment Company through HASTC.

  • 27 May 2005: Awarded Certificate of Merit by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam for VCBS outstanding accomplishments and contribution to the sector in the year 2004.

  • 19 July 2005: Awarded Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Finance for VCBS contribution to the formation and development of the securities market in 2000-2005 period.

  • Dec 2005: Won the Title of the Leading Unit in New Product Development granted by Vietcombank.

  • July 2006: Carried out the service of issuance and listing consultancy, and custody of VCB’s raising-capital bonds in HCM STC.

  • August 2006: Awarded Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for VCBS’s contribution to the process of Socialism construction and nation defense.

  • November 2006: Total number of VCBS’s client accounts reached 30.000, 382% higher than target plan and 463% higher than that of 2005.

  • 2006: Listing consultancy for Songda Urban & Industrial Zone Investment And Development Joint Stock Company (SJS); Candon Hydro Power JSC (SJD); Vietnam - Italy Steel Joint Stock Company (VIS)...

  • 2006: Successfully underwrote 10.422 billion of Governmental and municipal Bonds.

  • 2006: Marked a milestone in custody service. The total volume of listed and unlisted securities deposited in VCBS accounted for 190 trillion VND. Considerable custody contract included Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (VNM), Songda Urban & Industrial Zone Investment And Development Joint Stock Company (SJS); Candon Hydro Power JSC (SJD); Vietnam - Italy Steel Joint Stock Company (VIS)...

  • June 2007: VCBS launched Cau Giay sub-branch office, which expressed continuous following with the strategy of expanding transaction system in which VCBS’s network will spread together with VCB’s transaction system to promote one account covering all-in services of finance-banking-securities-insurance.

  • September 2007: VCBS launched a new website system version of www.vcbs.com.vn and info.vcbs.com.vn integrating functions as a securities information gateway.

  • September 2007: VCBS was officially selected by HOSE as one of the 8 securities companies which met standards of remote order receiving.

  • December 2007: VCBS opened Danang branch, our first branch in the Central of Vietnam, that expressed the comprehensive development of VCBS transaction network in all 3 area of North-Central-South of Vietnam.

  • December 2007: VCBS was selected to be the Consultant for Vietcombank IPO - one of the 4 biggest state-owned banks in Vietnam.
